At The Strand Hotel, we are proud to welcome all guests and our canine friends and small family pets (sorry no cats) are no exception. A Little Welcome Gift from a Dog Friendly Hotel On arrival, our guests with dogs will be offered a complimentary bag with disposable poop bags and a selection of delicious dog biscuits. Where can you and your Dog Go at The Strand Hotel Your dog has free access to all the public areas of the hotel except the Dining Rooms for obvious reasons. Dogs are also permitted in the bedrooms sharing with their owners. There are many walks around the hotel that are suitable for exercising and the section of beach directly opposite the hotel allows dogs. There is many miles of promenade all with regularly sited dog litter bins. The beach can be muddy so please ask to use the back entrance to the hotel. There we have a hose to shower the dog down and we can provide large towels. During you stay you will want to explore Blackpool and the surrounding countryside and beaches. Forward planning is good and the www.dogfriendlybritain.co.uk is usually up to date and has a full list of dog-friendly beaches, gardens, restaurants, dog sitters, groomers, taxis and local vets to ensure peace of mind during your stay. Do Not Panic! OK so you left in a hurry and you forgot the ...? Well we have a supply of all the regular dog items and the local supply is close by if we haven't got it. If we have it then there is no charge for use. Charges There is a small charge of £5 per dog per night Further Information We only accept well behaved dogs, the management reserves the right to refuse or curtail accommodation provision if your pet causes disruption or damage to hotel property. Guests will be charged for any damage caused. Details of local walks, parks and attractions which welcome dogs are available from reception. We have storage provision for transportation cages if required. A selection of bedrooms in the hotel are pet friendly but not all rooms. There is a local Blackpool Council bye-law which prohibits dogs on the beach between the three piers (North, Central and South) between the 1st May and 30th September each year. Dogs are not allowed between the three piers during this period whether they are running free or are kept on a lead.
