After frustratingly being double booked by another Blackpool hotel, I contacted the Strand Hotel in July to ask if they would be willing and able to hold my upcoming 30th birthday party in November. I spoke with Jane who confirmed that this would be possible and arranged to meet with her at the hotel that evening to have a look round and check it's suitability. The hotel was clean and well staffed on arrival and Jane and Sarah spent time with my husband and I showing us round and explaining how they could help make my 'Hollywood themed' party a success. I booked the venue on the spot.

Over the following months Jane and Sarah stayed in regular contact with me via email, reassuring me when I panicked over how much food to order and not being able to find a DJ (Jane then recommended a DJ which we later booked) etc etc... They even offered to loan me a red carpet for the evening, make me a VIP entrance sign and arrange fake 'paparrazzi' to take photos of my guests!
Additionally, when I cheekily asked if they could adjust their buffet menu to make it more veggie friendly they readily agreed, the final menu was absolutely beautiful with a great variety of foods offered ranging from a gorgeous salad with haloumi and walnut to chicken legs for the meat eaters...and there was so much of it!

On the day of my party, I arrived at the hotel with family members in the afternoon to dress the room and make it look 'Hollywood'. Sarah pitched in and even helped us blow up balloons-much appreciated as it took longer to prepare the room than we had anticipated! Sustinence was provided in the form of sandwiches, salad and chips which kept us going throughout the afternoon and were lovely.

On the evening everything went as planned, Sarah, Jane and other mebers of staff were extremely helpful and courteous to my guests, the buffet was served on time and all of my guests commented on how beautiful it was.

Overall the party was a brilliant success and I would absolutely recommend The Strand to anybody considering a future event. The level of customer service is extremely high, the quality of food served is amazing, and the location of the hotel couldn't be more perfect being right on the promenade!
